School Uniform

We are very proud of our distinctive school uniform, which all children are required to wear. Some pieces are available from Dolphin House Uniform Shop whilst some are generic items that can be purchased from the supermarket.

• Please ensure your child does not wear jewellery or nail varnish.
• Tattoos are not appropriate for school and temporary ones should be removed asap before returning to school following holidays or occasions.
• Long hair must be tied up. Short haircuts should be appropriate (Number 2 minimum)
• Children with pierced ears are asked to wear only studs.

Please ensure that all items of school clothing are marked with the child’s name, including shoes. Lost unnamed items of clothing are very difficult to reunite with their owner.

Winter Uniform

• Maroon cardigan or V-necked sweater  - essential item
• Maroon tie  - essential for Winter uniform
• Maroon school coat or fleece outerwear (optional).  These are generously sized, well-priced and should last a few years. The fleece cannot be worn as a substitute for a jumper/cardigan.

Generic uniform items - can be purchased from any store

• White shirt - long or short sleeved acceptable - essential for Winter uniform
• Choice of grey pinafore/grey skirt/grey skort/grey culottes or tailored grey trousers 
• Plain grey, white or maroon socks/tights 
• Black shoes (sensible style) NO BOOTS.  Trainers are only to be worn on PE days with PE kit. 

Summer Uniform

Generic uniform items - can be purchased from any store

• Pink and white striped dress or Pink and white checked, if stripe not available
• White polo shirt (generic is acceptable, however logo version of polo shirt is available from Dolphin House) or some children may prefer a white, short-sleeved shirt worn without a tie.
• Choice of grey skirt/grey skort/grey culottes or tailored grey shorts
• Maroon cardigan or V-necked sweater  - as above from Dolphin House
• Grey or white socks - long or ankle length

Infant PE Kit from Dolphin House

(Please buy big as it will last a few years)

• Maroon/Navy shirt with SH logo
• Navy Blue reverse stripe shorts
• Maroon jogging suit 
• P.E. bag (optional) mostly children wear PE kit to school on their PE day)
   
• Trainers (generic)

Junior PE Kit

(Please buy big as it will last a few years)

• Maroon/Navy shirt with SH logo
• Navy Blue reverse stripe shorts or navy blue skort
• Maroon Jogging trousers with white trim/Maroon jacket top with white trim and SH logo
• P.E. bag (optional) mostly children wear PE kit to school on their PE day)

School have regular second-hand uniform sales.  We also have a book in the school entrance hall for  any second-hand uniform requests outside of this time. 

School bags for younger children are available at school office (£5) and are used all the way through Early Years and Key Stage 1.   Pupils from Year 3 upwards can bring their own ruck sack.
