    Physical Education

The children have access to the indoor and outdoor learning environments and develop their fine and gross motor skills. The children enjoy using the climbing apparatus, the wheeled vehicles and digging in the digging area.

The children begin each morning with a physical activity such as yoga, music to movement or dough disco. They also have a P.E lesson each week in the hall or the infant playground. These activities develop children's gross motor skills enabling them to negotiate space, move freely with control and improve their strength, co-ordination and balance.

The children also develop their fine motor skills through a range of activities such as threading, using tweezers and mark-making in sand. They are encouraged and supported in learning to use a wide range of tools including paintbrushes, scissors and child-friendly knives at snack-time.
